JLL expands its sustainability services portfolio
JLL Poland expanded its portfolio of services to energy auditing for office, retail, logistics and hotel buildings.
Regina Gul, Senior Project Manager, Project Development Services JLL, LEED AP and BREEAM In-Use Auditor, commented: "We are observing a strong demand for professional energy auditing services among developers and facility managers. This stems from a number of factors, such as: increasingly stringent EU regulations concerning carbon dioxide emissions and changes in the building code. The market is also more aware of the financial benefits gained by applying cutting-edge sustainability solutions. After carrying out the audit and complying with the advice highlighted during the analysis, it is possible to reduce a building’s operating costs.”
An energy audit starts with a thorough examination of the buildings technical standards and involves an inspection of the building and its external surroundings, an analysis of its lease space as well as its technical rooms and communal areas, and becoming acquainted with the building’s documentation and utility bills. On the basis of the research, the client is provided with a detailed report that includes areas that need improving and proposals regarding the direction of changes and specific solutions. What is very important is the fact that not all improvements require a substantial financial outlay – some solutions may be low-cost or even free. These include: conducting an operating time analysis of the building’s installations in order to make sure that they operate at optimal capacity when required.
Apart from energy audits, JLL also provides a full package of services regarding LEED and BREEAM certifications for completed buildings as well as those designed and under construction.
