Adgar Plaza office complex certified LEED Gold
The three office buildings of the Adgar Plaza complex located in the Mokotów Business District have received LEED sustainability certificates at the Gold level. They have joined the elite group of just four projects in Warsaw which have so far been granted LEED certificates for existing buildings. Certification criteria include optimization of energy and water consumption, the use of appropriate building and fit-out materials, quality of internal environment, as well as the location of the building.
The certification process required Adgar to document that sustainable solutions applied in the buildings meet the ambitious LEED Gold criteria. The certification process was prepared and managed by Colliers International.
“Green solutions translate into real savings for tenants. This is important because supporting our tenants’ business is our key focus, with Adgar being the investor and asset manager in one. Obviously, maintaining the future value of the buildings is also our long-term goal,” said Eyal Litwin, Adgar CEO.
“All the buildings went through several months of detailed evaluation and monitoring to assess their performance in terms of efficiency and green practices, as required by LEED. The certification process included a number of audits focusing on energy efficiency, comfort, cleanliness, waste management and air quality. The purpose of the certification was to ensure and confirm that appropriate sustainable solutions were applied and that tenants can enjoy a healthy and comfortable workplace. The LEED system is extremely strict. Thanks to the owner’s commitment to the idea of sustainable development as well as co-operation of the tenants, all the three buildings of the Adgar Plaza complex succeeded in receiving LEED certification at the prestigious Gold level,” said Andrzej Gutowski, Senior Associate, Green Building Certification, Colliers International.
