Extended Galeria Pomorska attractive for customers and tenants
Since the opening of the extended Galeria Pomorska in September 2015 the footfall has increased by 20 percent comparing to the equivalent months of 2013 - the period right before the beginning of the construction works. Galeria Pomorska, which thanks to the extension gained 10,000 sqm of new lettable space and increased its portfolio by 40 shops and service points, is also attracting new customers who are willing to commute to the shopping centre even from the furthest districts of the city. The average shopping basket value is also increasing, as well as the frequency of visits.
“The extension of Galeria Pomorska is almost a textbook example of a well-understood asset management where the emphasis is put on the adequate diagnosis of the initial situation, the planning and the consistent pursuit of the goal. It is thanks to such attitude that we are successful, which is reflected in the centre’s results and the opinions of our customers. We believe that we have done good work and we can see that the inhabitants of Bydgoszcz and the tenants share this opinion,” said Shane Scott, Partner at Resolution Property.
The re-commercialization process in Galeria Pomorska hasn’t finished yet and more lease agreements have been concluded. Recently the group of tenants was extended by the 65 sqm jewellery store Yes and soon the “definitely men’s world” of the Kubenz fashion brand will join the group with a 150 sqm unit.
Galeria Pomorska not only attracts new brands but it also retains the existing tenants. Lease agreements have been renewed with North Fish food court restaurant (60 sqm). A couple of days ago the offer of the centre was strengthened by a newly opened Deichmann store (450 sqm) and the extended Big Star store (200 sqm) that relocated from a smaller unit.
Balmain Asset Management and JLL are responsible for the commercialization of the facility.
