Westend business zone in Bratislava‘s Patrónka has been extended by an additional 35,000 sqm of office space. J&T REAL ESTATE completed construction of the 9-storey WESTEND GATE, which is one of the most modern administrative areas in the capital city. IBM International Services Centre has moved into the building, leasing over 17,000 sqm.
WESTEND GATE tenants will have a modern interior, openable windows, relaxation zones, and complete facilities for cyclists, including showers. Additional services such as restaurants, cafes and a nursery will also be at hand. The building will be certified in accordance with the BREEAM environmental building certificate.
For WESTEND GATE, J&T REAL ESTATE agreed one of the largest credit deals of the year. A building-investment loan of almost €40 million was provided for the project by Slovenská Sporiteľňa.
“We were very pleased with Slovenská Sporiteľňa’s confidence in the project. Negotiations are currently underway for the lease of further administrative areas. We have seen strong demand for office space as well as commercial areas. We predict that WESTEND GATE will be successfully occupied by the end of 2015,“said Pavel Pelikán, Executive Director of J&T REAL ESTATE.
Part of the WESTEND GATE development has included investment in public areas. J&T spent around €700,000 reconstructing the road intersection near the Westend business zone in order to ensure smooth connections with Lamačska Road.
