JLL has been selected as the exclusive agent responsible for the leasing of retail space in the newest Silesian investment by Apollo-Rida – the Skałka shopping centre in Tychy.
Skałka is a retail development project which includes existing stores – Auchan hypermarket (formerly Real) and Obi DIY store as well as fashion, services and restaurants. The investor, Apollo-Rida, is planning to develop a modern shopping centre which in addition to the aforementioned Obi and Auchan, will boast around 90 stores and ca 36,000 sqm GLA when completed. Furthermore, there are plans for developing an interestingly designed public space with fountains and an amphitheatre for recreational, cultural and other communal functions. Customers will have over 1,400 parking spaces at their disposal, located in a surface and underground parking lot.
One of the scheme’s major strengths is its location in the southern part of the city’s centre, in close proximity to a major intersection and in the heart of six densely populated residential estates. The project is also very well-served by public transport.

The limited shopping offer in Tychy, along with the high purchasing power of its residents, a low unemployment rate and Skałka’s convenient location in the vicinity of residential neighbourhoods will be instrumental in the scheme’s success with both tenants and clients.”
