HB Reavis has successfully leased 5,000 sqm of office space to five different companies at Gdanski Business Center and Postepu 14 located in the highly sought-after business district in the city fringe of Warsaw. Groupe SEB Polska and Joseph’s Bistro & Wine restaurant are new clients, whereas KPMG, WebInterpret and Fab Tax & Accountancy by Bilans SA extended their existing leasing agreements.
Four of the deals were for space at HB Reavis’ Gdanski Business Center located in Warsaw’s Muranów district. Groupe SEB Polska, which is the owner of well-known brands including: Tefal, Krups, Lagostina and Rowenta, will locate to the newly completed building D in September (2016). The company will occupy 1,000 sqm. Colliers International advised on the deal. Joseph’s Bistro & Wine restaurant, run by renowned London trained chef Joseph Seeletso, opened in the neighbouring building B in June. The 236 sqm premises completed the GBC gastronomic offer composed of a food court, Green Café Nero and Gorąco Polecam Nowakowski bakery.
Long term tenants KPMG and WebInterpret extended their leases in building A, as well as taking additional new space. The international auditing and consulting firm KPMG, which since 2015 occupies over 10,000 sqm, agreed to take an additional 1,500 sqm. A team of experts from the consulting firm JLL represented KPMG again when negotiating the conditions of the lease agreement and coordination of design and realization. WebInterpret, specialising in e-commerce technologies, leased another 500 sqm, expanding its office space to over 2,500 sqm. The company was represented by Savills.
Consulting and accounting firm Fab Tax & Accountancy by Bilans SA, already a HB Reavis client in the nearby Konstruktorska Business Center, has also agreed to take additional space. In October the company will open a new 1,800 sqm office for its another project Smart Office in HB Reavis’ Postepu 14 office building located in the Mokotów district. This will be an innovative offer, consisting of rental of high standard instant offices and a full range of accounting and legal services, as well as taxation and finance consultancy. Similarly to the first agreement, the recent transaction was managed by Walter Herz.
Karol Wyka, Senior Leasing Manager at HB Reavis, said: “We have been experiencing an increased demand for office space in Warsaw over the last months. The interest has particularly been coming from businesses which have outgrown their current office space and are in the need for larger premises. The trend contradicts speculations that the economy is slowing. Instead, our recent deals demonstrate that there is a need for high quality well-designed office space in attractive locations which our portfolio offers.”
HB Reavis has been operating in Poland since 2008. The company has provided the Warsaw market with over 184,500 sqm of modern business space located in three schemes: Konstruktorska Business Center, Gdanski Business Center and Postepu 14. Another investment – West Station office complex next to the Warszawa Zachodnia railway station, with a total lettable area of 68,500 sqm is currently under construction.
