Super-sized Posnania opens in Poznan

Posnania, one of Europe’s biggest shopping centres has opened in Poznan, one of Poland’s leading economic centres. Posnania boasts 300,000 sqm of total surface area and 100,000 sqm of leasable area.

This project represents a total investment of around €300 million. It includes 300 local, Polish and international brands with 40 large and medium format shops, 220 boutiques, 40 restaurants and cafés. Posnania also holds a BREEAM Interim certificate with a ‘Very Good’ rating.

After the foundation stone was laid on 9 July 2014, the works lasted for 28 months. Almost half of the earthworks were completed during the summer of 2014, when the 14 site cranes were also installed. At the height of the works, some 1,000 site workers were active at the site.

Posnania offers visitors a high quality environment and services. The numerous glass canopies and open roofs combined with intricate ceilings and marble flooring make this shopping paradise a meeting place with a resolutely modern design.

Apsys, the owner of the project, opened the centre’s doors on October 19th.
