Cinema City opens its new 4DX theatre within Braila Mall, Romania

Cinema City, the largest cinema operator in Romania, has recently opened its 4th 4DX theatre in Romania, located within Braila Mall at Strada Principala Street no. 4B.  The new theatre offers 144 seats and represents a joint investment of Cinema City and the mall’s developer New Europe Property Investments (NEPI), which amounted to approximately 700,000 EUR.

Thanks to the advanced 4DX technology, visitors will enjoy an immersive movie experience enhanced with environmental effects such as snowflakes, wind, rain, fog, lightning, bubbles, ocean breeze and scent. At present, Cinema City operates three more 4DX cinema halls in Romania, situated within Mega Mall Bucharest, City Park Mall Constanta and Shopping City TImisoara.  

Overall, the company has a network of 28 multiplex cinemas in the Romanian cities of Bucharest, Arad, Bacau, Baia Mare, Braila, Cluj, Constanta, Deva, Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Iasi, Pitesti, Ploiesti, Piatra-Neamt, Suceava, Targu Jiu, Targu Mures and Timisoara.  Its cinemas are equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology, including the renowned Kinoton and Christie projectors and the Dolby Digital Surround sound system. The chain is part of of Cinemaworld Group, which currently operates more than 2,049 screens across 221 sites in the UK, Ireland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania and Israel.
