Orbis Hotel Group introduces the newest hotel brand to Bucharest

Orbis Hotel Group, strategic partner of AccorHotels – the world-leading travel & lifestyle group – in Eastern Europe, continues its development in the region at a rapid pace. The Group is further expanding its network of hotels with the signature of a management agreement for an ibis Styles hotel in Bucharest with its local partner and investor, ConstrucțiiErbașu.

“Orbis is the leading hotel group in Eastern Europe and we are targeting the leading position also in Romania, being one of the most dynamic markets in the region,” said Gilles Clavie, President and CEO of Orbis Hotel Group. “Romania offers great perspectives for hotels under international brands in the capital as well as in the countryside with a strong regional support as Orbis. The arrival of ibis Styles to Bucharest, a well-known and recognized international brand, offering innovation and a new hotel experience, confirms the dynamism of our development strategy in Romania.”

Following its full renovation, the existing building, located in the vicinity of Bucharest business district, will join the ibis Styles network in mid-2018. The hotel will offer 96 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, as well as a conference room.

Ibis Styles, Accor Hotels’ economy brand, offers unique design and atmosphere, a relaxed, friendly service and welcome, where guest can feel the conviviality and the local touch of the city. Creativity and good humor are the hallmarks of these comfortable, designer hotels, having a network of almost 400 properties worldwide.

“We are delighted to establish together with Orbis/AccorHotels the first ibis Styles project in Bucharest and we hope it will have a great success,” commented Cristian Romeo Erbașu, General Manager of Construcții Erbașu S.A..
