Cushman & Wakefield appointed project and cost manager for the delivery of KappAhl and newbie stores at Galeria Północna

The Project & Development Services (PDS) team of Cushman & Wakefield was responsible for full project delivery and cost control of the fit-out of new KappAhl and Newbie’s stores at Warsaw’s newly opened Galeria Północna.

Cushman & Wakefield’s duties included negotiations of technical schedules to lease agreements, coordination of design work, preparation of a general contractor tender, supervision of the fit-out work and coordination of KappAhl’s suppliers, as well as acceptance of the construction work in the presence of the landlord and the tenant. Marcin Golly, Associate Director at Cushman & Wakefield, was responsible for project management while Senan Corbett, Head of Cost Management, was in charge of budgeting and cost control. Earlier in the process, Cushman & Wakefield advised KappAhl on the leases of the retail space for both brands.

KappAhl is a Swedish fashion retailer offering stylish clothing for women, men and children. In addition to its standard size items, it also offers plus size women’s fashion. KappAhl also sells high-quality clothes for children and infants under the Newbie brand. Newbie’s store in Galeria Północna is the brand’s first location in Poland.

“The PDS team in Poland has been transformed over the last 24 months with huge successes and this mandate with an exciting brand and extremely professional client, was a pleasure from start to finish. We are delighted to have supported the strengthening of the KappAhl brand and delivered the first Newbie store in Poland,” said Andrew Frizell, Partner and Head of Project & Development Services CEE at Cushman & Wakefield.
