JYSK to extend the offer of furniture and homeware at Morski Park Handlowy

JYSK has leased nearly 1,320 sq m at Morski Park Handlowy. Real estate advisory firm Savills acts as a property manager and an exclusive retail space leasing agent of the scheme.

JYSK is a retail chain founded by Lars Larsen of Denmark and selling furniture and home accessories. The JYSK Group has approximately 2,800 stores across the globe. It has been present in Poland since 2000, offering its products in more than 220 locations. The head office of JYSK Poland is located in Gdansk. The retailer is expanding at a rapid pace, opening about a dozen stores each year, and has also built an online presence. JYSK employs more than 2,300 people in Poland.

“Despite the fact that JYSK is a global brand, the company itself is managed based on Scandinavian heritage, which is visible in its corporate’s culture and the way we do business,” says Aleksandra Chalimoniuk, PR and communication director, JYSK Polska.

The tenant will be located in a new building completed earlier this year, following the extension of Morski Park Handlowy. Since May 2019, it is already home to four different stores of the Komfort Group – Floors, Kitchens, Bathrooms and Nexterio, Bel-Pol and Zoo Karina.

Morski Park Handlowy is located on Przywidzka Street in Gdańsk. The extension of the complex increased its total floorspace to over 41,000 sq m. Its tenants include among others DIY store OBI, Carrefour hypermarket, McDonalds, Media Expert and Jula. Other facilities at the retail park comprise of Designer Outlet Gdansk and furniture store Agata. The owner of Morski Park Handlowy is GRP.
