On 9th November 2017, experts from the hotel and tourism industry will meet at the 10th International Hotel Investment & Design Club Forum at the Palais Hansen Kempinski in Vienna.
The leading industry conference for hotel investors, developers and operators in CEE and SEE is organised by three distinguished consulting firms: Hotels Asset Management, Reburg & Partners and Michaeler & Partner.
The theme of this year’s forum is “Building for the future”. The forum will explore the significance and role of architecture, design, and conceptualization as well as branding as criteria for sustainable hotel investment. “Design gets people through the door and convinces them to stay. Ideally, it becomes an experience and opens up new worlds, which reflect the soul of a project, making it unique,” said Tina Norden, Director at Conran & Partners, one of the speakers at the panel discussion.
Thomas Emanuel, Director Business Development, STR Global will once again present an annual overview of the hotel market and growth potential according to regions.
“Does the hotel industry have the right approach to digitization?” This will be a highlight of the program, with Nathaniel Estis Green, executive advisor and investor to companies in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence, and big data, making a keynote address. Nathaniel is a graduate from Cornell University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The School of Hotel Administration.
Nat formerly spearheaded Global Solution Engineering for Duetto: his work branched between sales, product development, and marketing. His past experience is spread between both hospitality and technology including time at InterContinental Hotels Group (Greater China), Micros eCommerce (formerly TIG Global), and various entrepreneurial ventures. Nat is a frequent guest speaker at leading universities and conferences around the world.
New Priority Themes for 2017:
Leisure Hotels due to their increasing relevance as an asset class will be given their own panel this year. Food and Beverage positioning is becoming an increasing challenge for many hotel operations seeking a success formula. The task is how to develop unique ideas with clear positioning away from the “room business.”
The final panel will deal with branding and the positioning of new concepts. Key discussion points are: Which opportunities and challenges will arise, what will be the new markets and segments and who will be tomorrow’s customers?
The final event is the Next Generation – Brand Award of the Module University Vienna.
Over 40 experts will be joining in the discussion from the fields of Design and Architecture, Development, Operation and Consulting from the Hyatt Hotels, Accor, Art-Invest Real Estate Management, Rosewood Hotel Group, Signa Real Estate, Goddard & Littlefair, Conran + Partners, Hilton Hotels, Morgan Stanley, Marriott and Belmond.
This year will be the 10th conference anniversary. To mark the occasion there will be a special invitation reception at the end of event.
The top-level advisory board include Ivica Cacic, Regional Vice President of Marriott, James Dilley, Head of Interior Design Hospitality at Jestico + Whiles, Otmar Michaeler, CEO Falkentsteiner Michaeler Tourism Group and Rupert Simoner, CEO Vienna House.
