Czech market still the region’s second most active investment destination
The volume of investment in the regional real estate market during H1 2023 was one of the lowest on record in Central and Eastern Europe. Poland accounted for the majority of regional transaction volume at 42 percent, followed by the Czech Republic with 34 percent.
“The market continues to search for new, acceptable price levels and the gap between the offers and sale price is still evident. Encouragingly, we have seen some groups of investors closing transactions at lower price ranges or acquiring various high-potential opportunities,” explains Josefina Kurfürstová, Colliers’ analyst for the Czech Republic and CEE.
Over a third of Bratislava’s office stock is now green-certified
Total office stock in Bratislava represented 2.02 million sqm. 17 percent of total stock consists of class A+ office space, 38 percent of A class, and 45 percent of class B office space, reports the Bratislava Research Forum. In total, Bratislava offers almost 723,302 sqm of office space with a valid green/sustainable building certificate. This is 36 percent of the total volume of office space in Bratislava. Currently, 40 out of 274 buildings meet the criteria. 60 percent of the certified stock has BREEAM, 2.5 percent combination of BREEAM / WELL GOLD and 37.5 percent has a LEED certificate.
Last phase of High5ive obtains WELL Core & Shell certification
Building three from the High5ive office complex located in Krakow at Pawia Street is the first in the city to be awarded the prestigious WELL Core & Shell certification at the Gold level. This means that the building features innovative solutions in terms of mental and physical health – including proper temperature and acoustics as well as adequate access to natural lighting, fresh air and high-quality drinking water. The fifth building of Skanska’s flagship office development in Krakow has also been designed with energy and water conservation in mind.

JLL raises more than 800,000 pln at annual charity volleyball event in Warsaw
During the JLL 12th Charity Real Estate Industry Beach Volleyball Tournament 2023, a record number of 58 teams competed. The tournament was held at the Monta Beach Volley Club in Warsaw, and the event attracted more than 2,000 guests. In the finals, the Muniak team claimed victory, beating the D&D DEVCO team, which took second place. The last place on the podium went to the Skanska team.
The tournament along with the auction raised PLN 810,000, which will be entirely allocated to the construction of the third Ronald McDonald House in Poland at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw.
