AIF Capital acquires car park in Finland

AIF Capital has acquired the underground car park of the Nokia Arena in Tampere (Finland). With a transaction volume of around €11.5 million, AIF Capital Group will further diversify their Car Park Fund Europe at an attractive location with growth potential and a stable market environment.

The Nokia Arena underground car park was completed in 2021 as part of the ‘Asemakeskus’ urban development project. It is operated by AIMO Park and situated in the Tampereen Kansi district, a popular location for a wide target group. Tampere is Finland’s third-largest city and one of the most important scientific and economic hubs in Finland with a positive demographic development.

“With this property, we are not only expanding the portfolio of our Parking Fund Europe with a first-class property at a central city location, but we are also tapping into a new and promising market”, confirms Daniel Wolf, Managing Director of AIF Management GmbH.

AIMO Park is a leading mobility provider in the Nordic countries, offering over 50 years of experience in car park management and innovative solutions such as car sharing and e-charging infrastructure. The company operates car parks in over 250 cities in Scandinavia, representing a key interface between traditional parking and modern mobility.

The transaction was legally advised by DLA Piper, a leading commercial law firm with a strong presence in Scandinavia. The property asset was sold to AIF Capital Group by the joint venture Tampereen Tornit KY and brokered by OrangeIM.
