Amazon begins recruiting for new logistics centers in Poland – EuropaProperty

Due to the growing demand from customers in Europe, Amazon will open two logistics centers in Poland, near Wroclaw and Poznan, in September 2014. The centers will allow the company to maintain a high level of Amazon services, in terms of speed and reliability of supply, to their customers.

Amazon will employ in each of the centers, more than 700 employees at the production sites related to the collection, packaging and stacking of goods, as well as create thousands of temporary jobs during the holiday season. In each of the centers Amazon is planning to create up to 2,000 permanent jobs and an additional 3,000 temporary ones.

“We are pleased that our presence in Europe will be extended by three logistics centers in Poland, and that they will create thousands of permanent jobs,” said Tim Collins, Chief Operating Officer at Amazon in Europe. “We appreciate the cooperation with partners and local authorities, which has helped the logistics centers materialize in such a short time.”

Polish logistics centers will be integrated into the European network of the Amazon. They will help meet current and future needs of customers who order more and more goods and services from Amazon. The new centers will provide consumers with a fast, reliable service to which they are accustomed from Amazon.
