Atenor, a Belgian development company, became the new owner of a Warsaw office complex, comprising two office buildings with the total area of 32,000 sqm, located in Szturmowa 2/2a.
This is the first acquisition completed by the company on the Polish market. Experts from the Capital Markets Department at BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland supported the Belgian developer in the purchase process. Furthermore, the new owner instructed the specialists at BNP Paribas Real Estate to act as property managers for the complex.
“We are proud to have supported Atenor in the purchase of the office complex located in Warsaw’s Mokotów district, which in practical terms means that a powerful player has entered the Polish market. The transaction fits in perfectly with the company’s investment strategy consisting in proactive search for schemes in excellent locations in cities displaying the greatest potential for growth and presenting opportunities for hands-on management and re-development,” Mateusz Skubiszewski, Director, Capital Markets, Central and Eastern Europe, BNP Paribas Real Estate Polska.
Mateusz Skubiszewski managed the team of consultants with the assistance of Karolina Topolewska and Rafał Proczek.
The complex comprising two well-known office buildings is located in Warsaw’s Mokotów district at ulica Szturmowa. The properties’ strength lie in its close proximity to the city centre and excellent access to public transport. For years one of the properties has been associated with the Polish division of Hewlett-Packard headquartered there. Furthermore, the office building hosts Emerson, a provider of automation solutions.
“Our presence in Poland, following our earlier successes resulting from our entry onto the Romanian and Hungarian markets, is a natural step in implementation of our growth. The two Warsaw properties will be a good start for our Polish operation. It is indeed the companies objective to establish a long term presence in the Polish office and residential markets,“ commented Sven Lemmes, Country Director, Atenor.
The company, quoted on the continuous market of Euronext Brussels, is known in Central and Eastern Europe for its operations on the Romanian and Hungarian markets. Atenor stands out on the market due to its comprehensive approach to the projects implemented which entails combining economic effectiveness with optimum quality and application of modern and environmentally friendly technologies.
