Baxter, an international company involved in medical equipment production, specialist medicines and biotechnology has prolonged its lease as well as enlarged the area it occupies within the Warsaw office building, Nordic Park owned by Globalworth. As a result of the deal, the building is now 100 percent leased.
Baxter is the largest tenant in Nordic Park, taking up 4,700 sqm of offices over three floors. This is the company’s second expansion in the building and Baxter has had its Polish headquarters in the building since its delivery in 1999.
“Workers very much like the boutique nature of Nordic Park and its superb location in Warsaw’s fashionable Powiśle district since it is well served by public transport and there is a wide range of culinary facilities. Their appreciation is also due to the exceptional care we take with the property, which is under the constant care of an asset manager and the leasing department at Globalworth. For this reason, our tenants, who have been with us for over 20 years, continue to value the building highly and it is now fully leased,” says Anna Korwin-Kulesza, Senior Leasing Manager at Globalworth Poland.
“Baxter Polska has been using the space in Nordic Park since 1999 and since that time we have undergone several developmental transformations including the building of the Baxter Education Center and the adaption of additional space to meet our regional requirements. Globalworth has put in a lot of effort to meet our needs, which with our rapidly changing and frequently uncertain internal situation has given the management board of Baxter the sense of a well-formed partnership,” says Krzysztof Popławski, General Manager, Baxter Polska, CE&Israel.
The area leased by Baxter is currently being rearranged, with the work being entrusted to Interbiuro. On one of the floors that are being thoroughly refurbished, the tenant intends to change the layout from office rooms to an open space area. To improve the acoustics and reduce noise levels, walls and ceilings are to be covered with soundproofed panels and other architectural elements are also to be introduced. Additionally, the entire ventilation and air conditioning system is to be replaced.

Nordic Park is an eight-storey office building in Warsaw’s Powiśle district that comprises a total of around 9,000 sqm of comfortable space.
