The office building ‘.big’, developed by Ghelamco Poland and based in Kraków, has been leased to leading financial services provider, State Street.
State Street will occupy around 9,000 sqm, with an initial lease agreement of ten years. Cushman & Wakefield participated in the transaction.
“Our decision to open another office in Kraków highlights our commitment to Poland and is testament to the skilled talent pool available in the country. It represents a major milestone in our local presence, providing additional capacity to grow and expand the scope of services that we currently offer in Poland. We plan to create roles for both experienced, finance sector professionals, as well as post-graduates from local universities,” said Scott Newman, Managing Director, State Street Bank International GmbH, Poland branch.

.big, located at Kapelanka and Bohdana Zielińskiego streets, is Ghelamco’s first office development in Kraków. The building will be ready in Q3 2018, and is a five-storey facility. On the ground floor there will be a commercial services area. Whilst the first floor will feature a patio where small garden can be arranged; additionally State Street employees will have access to terraces and 200 sqm of common area on the roof, with a view of Wawel Royal Castle. Outside of this, the underground floor will include a dedicated area for cyclists, with lockers and showers.
