BIG Poland will open the BIG Olkusz retail park on 22 October 2026. Developed in cooperation with BOIG, the Blue Ocean Investment Group, the 13,500 sqm GLA project will bring the company’s operating portfolio to 14 retail parks with approximately 271,500 sqm GLA, strengthening its presence in Poland’s regional retail markets.
BIG Olkusz benefits from direct access from national road DK94, providing convenient connections for residents of Olkusz and the surrounding area. The tenant mix combines grocery shopping with fashion, everyday retail and services. Kaufland will serve as the grocery anchor tenant, occupying approximately 4,500 sqm. The offer will also include a two-level HalfPrice store with a total area of approximately 2,260 sqm. Around 350 parking spaces will be available to customers.
“Regional markets remain an important part of our investment strategy, but we assess each location on its own merits. In Olkusz, accessibility, catchment potential and retailer demand gave us a clear basis for developing a park that can serve everyday shopping needs over the long term. Our cooperation with BOIG combines local development expertise with BIG’s experience as an owner and operator. Following the opening, our focus will be on working closely with tenants, building repeat visits and strengthening the property’s position in its local market. The opening event is the first opportunity to introduce customers to our tenants’ offer and begin building the repeat visits that underpin a retail park’s long-term performance,” says Eran Levy, CEO of BIG Poland.
The opening celebrations will take place on 22 October, with a programme of free activities for the local community. Highlights include aerial acrobatics, a fire show and a bicycle stunt show, alongside music and family entertainment. The event forms part of BIG Poland’s approach to supporting its retail offer through active marketing and regular engagement with customers.
