CEO Manufacturing Magazine and EuropaProperty.com would like to thank all those that attended the 6th annual CEE Manufacturing & Logistics Awards held in Warsaw’s Intercontinental Hotel last night. The glittering awards ceremony looked fantastic and was witnessed by a select group of senior European and Central European manufacturing and logistics professionals; affirming the event’s status as a true landmark event for the manufacturing, logistics and related industries.
Recaro and Panattoni Europe were the big winners on the night with both companies collecting a handful of prizes each. Other multiple award winners included the Valeo Group, Signify (formerly Philips Lighting) and the Volkswagen Group.
Recaro, a global manufacturer and supplier of premium aircraft seats, were the night’s big winners collecting four awards for the company’s production innovation and manufacturing excellence in the Sustainability & Environment, Automation & Robotics and Quality Control categories, culminating in the coveted Overall Manufacturer of the Year prize.
Panattoni Europe was another heavyweight winner at the awards, once again flexing its development muscles as Europe’s biggest warehouse developer. They enhanced their development credentials even further by picking up all the BTS sector awards along with the Developer of the Year and the Industry Professional award for Marek Forynski, BTS Group Managing Director at Panattoni.
Signify, a world leader in lighting, and the Volkswagen Group, the global automotive giant, walked away with some of the other big company prizes. Signify collected awards in the Business & Science category and the Plant Manager of the Year for Marcin Andrzejewski.
Volkswagen was recognised for its Excellence in Manufacturing and walked away with the Customer Relationship Management / Customer Service / Customer Satisfaction and Supply Chain Management Logistics awards.
Valeo Group, a leader in automation technologies that enable customers to improve their automobile performance, picked up an award for Production Innovation in the Product Design/Life Cycle Management category.
Winners of the Manufacturing Suppliers categories included Sii as Information Technology Supplier, Valeo Group, for supplying automakers worldwide, was voted Manufacturing Supplier, and DSV, a global provider of transport and logistics services, was named Logistic Supplier of the Year for the second year in a row.
Metroplan Polska, a new comer to the market, and Hays Recruitment Worldwide picked up the evenings first two awards in the Professional Service Provider and Recruitment Supplier of the Year categories respectively.
CBRE were the eventual winners of the highly contested category Corporate Real Estate Consultancy, beating off stiff competition from fellow real estate heavy weights Cushman & Wakefield.
Other service providers awarded on the night included Apleona HSG in the Facility Ma Management category. Linklaters was voted Law Firm of the Year, Kajima was voted Construction Company of the Year, and PM Group was voted Project Management Firm.
The awards were preceded by a series of discussion panels covering the manufacturing and logistics industries in the region. Panelists agreed that the region is at the doorway to Industry 4.0 with automation and data integration the main challenges that production plants and logistics supply chains will face in the coming years. They also agreed that without these factors, they will not be able to build a competitive advantage.
