CTP announced a further expansion of the premises for CIE Automotive from CIE Automotive Group at CTPark Hranice. This is CIE Automotive’s second expansion with CTP, which will add 5,200 sqm to their existing premises. The project is expected to be completed in the first half of next year.
CIE Metal CZ, a company that designs and manufactures components for the automotive industry worldwide, has leased space in CTPark Hranice from 2021. The park, which is strategically located with direct access to motorways leading to Olomouc (30km), Ostrava (45 km) and Poland/Katowice (145 km), is ideally situated close to key automotive and high-tech supply chain routes.
The choice of CTPark Hranice was influenced not only by the high quality and readiness of the facility, which previously served similar production purposes but also by the proximity to the end customer and the existing CIE plant in Valašské Meziříčí. The move reflects the growing trend of nearshoring, where companies are moving production closer to their customers in response to the changing geopolitical situation. In 2023, CIE expanded its production capacity to a total of 13,233 sqm to meet growing demand. This latest expansion will take place in warehouse HR5, for which CTP has already obtained planning permission, and is located near the existing warehouse. The new space will thus allow for an efficient connection between production and warehouse, bringing increased operational efficiency to one location.
“Our cooperation with CTP is proving crucial to our long-term goals and development. With each new expansion at CTPark Hranice, we have been able to efficiently increase production capacity while optimising logistics processes. CTPark Hranice has thus become an ideal location for our production and logistics operations, especially thanks to its strategic location and high quality. We are convinced that this new expansion will bring further opportunities for the development of our innovative projects,” explained Michal Curylo, CIE Metal CZ.
“The long-term cooperation with CIE Metal CZ is a great pleasure for us and proves how efficiently the client’s expansion and growth can take place thanks to the flexibility of the premises and quality facilities. The second expansion of the premises in CTPark Hranice beautifully demonstrates that it is possible to grow gradually, adapt to demand and respond to market developments, which is key for us and our clients,” said Vojtěch Peřka, Senior Business Developer at CTP in the Czech Republic.
