MIPIM launches Road to Zero area
MIPIM has launched the Road to Zero area. The new dedicated 400 sqm zone will combine exhibition, networking and conference space with a focus on practical methods to decarbonise the real estate industry.
Road to Zero by MIPIM will gather all the key players of the built environment engaged in this process: from sustainable investors to developers, industry and innovative solutions providers.
Along with leading companies Schneider Electric and Schindler as gold and silver sponsors, major names like PwC, Veolia, Building Minds and Carrier are already confirmed as exhibitors in the area.
The Road to Zero stage is one of the six new stages to be launched at MIPIM 2023. The Road to Zero stage will be curated by Urban Land Institute (ULI) as an exclusive content partner, along with the World Green Building Council and the World Business Council For Sustainable Development.
Nicolas Kozubek, MIPIM Director, said: “The Road to Zero stage will shine a spotlight on ESG, innovation and technology solutions that help to accelerate the transformation of the built environment towards a more sustainable model.”
Etele Plaza to get BREEAM Very Good certificate in Budapest
This is the first shopping centre in Hungary to be given such an award in the construction phase. The property, developed by the Hungarian company Futureal was opened in late 2021. Easy access and modern waste management were the focus during construction. Long-lasting materials had been chosen to minimize carbon footprint. Approximately 4,000 sqm of green space was created with trees, grass and shrubs on all external territory and inside the facility.
XM Textiles leases space in GLP Pomeranian Logistics Centre
XM Textiles, an importer and supplier of fabrics for workwear and protective wear manufacturing, has leased 3,600 sqm of warehouse and office space in GLP Pomeranian Logistics Centre. The tenant was represented by Newmark Polska.
Jakub Dudkiewicz, Associate, Industrial and Warehouse Department, Newmark Polska, said “Pomerania has a low vacancy rate due to limited availability of industrial space.”
The Pomeranian Logistics Centre (PLC), developed and managed by GLP, is located next to the Baltic Hub (Gdansk Deepwater Container Terminal Hub) and close to the S7 expressway and Tricity’s Ring Road. The logistics centre makes for excellent distribution to any destination in Poland and the world.
