In October, we had the opportunity to advise Adventum on the acquisition of the Mercedes-Benz building in Warsaw,” said Marek Wojnar, managing Partner at act BSWW.

BELTRAME GROUP ACQUIRES TÂRGOVIȘTE SPECIAL STEEL PLANT
Beltrame Group, one of the largest producers of steel bars and special steels in Europe, has completed the acquisition of the production assets of the Târgoviște Special Steel Plant for around €38.3 million. Beltrame Group aims to transform the plant into a European competitive special steel production unit. Over the next 4 years, about €100 million will be invested in modernising the machinery and approximately €40-50 million in providing working capital.
“The acquisition of COS Targoviste is an important step in the Beltrame Group’s expansion strategy in Romania and confirms our long-term commitment to the development of the local steel sector. COS Targoviste has a strong history in the steel industry, so we are honoured to have the opportunity to revitalise this steel giant. We expect to start production in the existing steelworks and the two rolling mills in early June, in order to supply the internal market with rebar and wire rod and stop the market’s dependence on imports, especially in the context of the conflict in Ukraine”, says Carlo Beltrame, Group Business Development at AFV Beltrame.

GLOBALWORTH SUPPORTS UKRAINE WAR HUMANITARIAN RELIEF EFFORTS
Globalworth is offering 12,000 sqm of its portfolio in Romania and Poland under the SPACE FOR UKRAINE motto.
The spaces will be used to accommodate refugees and provide them with related logistical support as well as depositing and sorting the donations. They will be operated by local authorities such as the City of Warsaw and the City of Bucharest and NGOs, such as the Red Cross Foundation and Geeks for Democracy.
In Romania, Globalworth is offering two office floors in the BOB office building in Bucharest which can host up to 700 refugees and a logistics space in Chitila Logistics Hub, where donations will be stored and sorted before reaching those in need. In Poland, the Warta Tower office building will host up to 500 refugees.
“The growing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine with millions of refugees crossing the Polish and Romanian borders is a real tragedy that requires meaningful actions that can make a positive difference. Providing shelter for refugees and storage for food and medical supplies is the first step in our humanitarian relief efforts, but as the needs of those affected change, we continue to look at different ways in which we can help. We hope that a peaceful resolution will be achieved the soonest possible,” said Dimitris Raptis, Globalworth Group CEO.
