BIG CEE concludes acquisition of Capital Plaza in Podgorica
Montenegro’s largest real estate acquisition has officially been concluded. BIG CEE has formally become the owner of Capital Plaza in Podgorica, with a total construction area of approximately 85,000 sqm.
Capital Plaza consists of two business-office towers, the CUE hotel, a residential-commercial complex with 70 luxury apartments, a shopping area on two levels as well as over 700 parking spaces.
Colliers Montenegro acted as the exclusive agent in this transaction and coordinated throughout the entire process.
Barceló Hotel Group opens its first hotel in Warsaw
“The newly opened hotel in Warsaw is confirmation that Barceló Hotel Group is committed to further expansion in the Eastern European region. The chain currently operates seven hotels in Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic, generating a positive impact on the economic, cultural and social development of the cities,” said SVP City Hotels Europe at Barceló Hotel Group José Ramón Alvarez-Cervela.
The chain also plans to open a newly built hotel in the centre of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, this summer.
Barceló Hotel Group – which is part of the Barceló Group – is the second largest hotel chain in Spain and is among the 30 largest in the world in terms of number of rooms. The group has more than 280 4- and 5-star city and resort hotels, totalling more than 62,000 rooms in 25 countries.
Four Points by Sheraton Hotel opens in Budapest
The Four Points by Sheraton Budapest Danube Hotel has officially opened. The new 105-room hotel is situated on the banks of the Danube in the centre of the city and is managed by the Hungarian company Accent Hotels.
This is the first Four Points by Sheraton branded hotel in Budapest and is part of a larger property development called DunaPearl featuring luxury apartments and smaller retail outlets. The mixed-use development is managed by the Turkish firm PD Real Estate Development.
Logicor expands logistics park in northern Bucharest
Industrial developer Logicor has expanded the e-commerce warehouse space in Bucharest I Logistics Park Mogosoaia for pharmacy chain Dr Max to around 16,000 sqm.
The project has around 150,000 sqm of warehouse space and has attracted tenants interested in last-mile distribution and fast deliveries to the rest of the regional cities.
“With pharmaceuticals storage needing to meet very high and particular standards, we are using Logicor’s international expertise to support the customer’s need to store drugs in optimal conditions,” said Mihai Diaconescu, Director of Logicor Romania.
