GLP expands portfolio in Warsaw after acquiring two warehouses
Developer and operator of logistics real estate, GLP, announced it has successfully acquired two logistics warehouses spanning a combined area of 37,600 sqm in Janki near Warsaw.
GLP will be working with the occupiers to enhance the sustainability credentials of the buildings further and to increase the BREEAM certification levels, delivering added benefits to the existing and future tenants.
Marek Jandous, Director of Investments and Asset Management CEE at GLP Europe, said: “This acquisition reinforces GLP’s strong presence and investment expertise in key Central European markets. The addition of GLP Warsaw VII strengthens our portfolio near Warsaw that now includes six existing, fully leased logistics parks, as well as one project in an advanced stage of preparation.”
LCP Properties to start new project in Gdańsk
Developer LCP Properties has received a building permit for an SBU project under the Multipark brand, this time in Gdańsk. Multipark Gdańsk in the first stage has over 5,400 sqm of GLA with eighteen modules. The project is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2024.
“In the first weeks of the year, we maintain the high pace of activity from the end of 2023 – within just one month we received permits to build two separate Multiparks, first in Sosnowiec and now in Gdańsk,” commented Magdalena Kowalewska, COO, LCP Properties in Poland. “We are strongly focused on growth, and we look optimistically at 2024, which has already begun, through the prism of great opportunities for our further development.”
Panattoni to build logistics centre for Rossmann near Budapest
European retailer giant Rossmann has decided to build a new warehouse and office complex to serve its growing needs in Hungary and the CEE region The new centre is part of Rossmann’s growing expansion and will offer 28,000 sqm of warehouse space, which already hosts other major retailers. The handover is scheduled for the end of 2025.
The developer is Panattoni Hungary and the centre’s owner will be OTP Property Investment Fund. Rossmann will create a semi-automated warehouse facility which can be extended in the future if needed. All the latest technical solutions and materials (solar panels, heat pumps, e-chargers, etc.) will serve ESG compliance.
MLP Business Park Vienna welcomes its first tenant
A plumbing and HVAC equipment distributor has become the first tenant at MLP Business Park Vienna. The company, part of GC-Gruppe Österreich, will occupy a total of about 3,300 sqm. The completed facility is scheduled for handover in December 2024. CBRE brokered the lease.
“The Austrian market is still considerably undersupplied in warehouse space and our project has attracted a lot of attention. The project’s appeal lies in its prime location within the Vienna metropolitan area, modern architectural design, and the implementation of top-tier sustainability solutions,” says Peter Falb, Country Manager at MLP Group in Austria.
