DOUGLAS OPENS THREE NEW STORES IN ROMANIA
DOUGLAS continues its expansion in Romania and has opened three new stores outside Bucharest. For this purpose, a partnership has been agreed with Prime Kapital, a leading real estate developer in Eastern Europe.
Lavinia Ivas, Country Manager DOUGLAS Romania, commented: “We have set ourselves the goal of expanding our presence in the country. And we do both: expanding our brick and mortar network, while we also continue to invest in our E-Com business. Over the next few months, we will open three new stores in very attractive locations, further strengthening our market position in Romania.”
The first new store will be opened in May in DN1 Value Center in Corbeanca, Ilfov. This opening will be a premiere for DOUGLAS as this is the first time that the beauty retailer enters a strip mall in Romania. The other two new store openings will be in Dambovita Mall, Targoviste and in Alba Iulia.
By the end of the year, Douglas’ store network in Romania will reach 37 locations.
ELEMENT INDUSTRIAL COMPLETES FIRST PHASE OF PROJECT NEAR BUCHAREST
Element Industrial has inaugurated the first phase of the ELI Park 3 industrial project in Buftea-Chitila area, near Bucharest. The project covering 18,500 sqm has reached a leasing rate of 90 percent upon completion and houses operations of e-commerce, production and B2B retailers.
“We are convinced that the Buftea-Chitila hub is the basis of the new interest area on the logistics map of the Bucharest metropolitan area. Moreover, its dynamics will increase exponentially, with the completion of the A0 – the new ring road of the Capital,” said Andrei Jerca, Managing Director of Element Industrial.
Aside from Bucharest, the project has several ongoing projects located in Bacău, Ploiești and Brăila. The company’s plan is to develop 500,000 sqm of logistic projects by the end of 2026.
BUCHAREST’S FIRST PREMIUM FLEXIBLE OFFICE SPACE CONCEPT ALMOST FULL
The One, Bucharest’s first premium concept of flexible spaces, has reached an occupancy rate of 90 percent, less than six months after its inauguration.
“At a time when the office market is recalibrating, The One brings a new concept for its members,” explains Sheila Ionescu, CEO, of The One. “In the context of the turbulent times we have gone through in the last two years, The One has first addressed the need for flexibility. Companies no longer have precise growth calendars, and the need for space is often immediate. Given these circumstances, for many of our clients, especially multinationals, we have become an extension of their traditional office. Other companies, given the reduced work schedule in the office, preferred to move towards flexible solutions, which offer integrated services, without the limitation of a 3 – 5 years contract,” adds Sheila Ionescu.
The One occupies the 6th floor and the last floors, 17th and 18th, of the One Tower office building. The investment exceeded 4 million Euros.
POCZTA POLSKA TAKES ALMOST 4,500 SQM IN PANATTONI PARK KALISZ
Panattoni is close to completing its latest project for Poczta Polska. The Polish postal service will occupy almost 4,500 sqm in Panattoni Park Kalisz. The fact that Panattoni is developing 35,000 sqm in a two-building complex is confirmation of the potential of Kalisz as an attractive alternative to Poznań within the province.
“Our latest cooperation with Poczta Polska S.A. reaffirms the enormous importance of the growth of emerging markets for postal and courier services. By delivering space closer to towns and cities we can ensure more efficient services for end customers. Locations such as Kalisz, Białystok, Lublin and Siedlce are no longer the future, but current centres of activity for the warehouse sector,” comments Katarzyna Osińska, Development Director at Panattoni.
