REICO ACQUIRES BOŘISLAVKA CENTRUM FROM KKCG
CS real estate fund is buying the Bořislavka Centrum shopping and office complex from KKCG Real Estate Group. With the acquisition, the fund has increased the number of buildings under its management to 21 and the value of its real estate portfolio exceeds CZK 38 billion.
The complex consists of four interconnected buildings offering over 40,000 sqm. Three-quarters of this are office space and the rest is retail space. The building is almost fully occupied, the main tenants include companies KKCG, Sazka, MND Group, Allwyn, KKCG Technology, KKCG REG and Volkswagen Financial Services.
It also includes a shopping gallery with 60 shops. The construction of the complex took three years and it was opened in June 2021. The construction costs amounted to more than CZK 3.5 billion.
“The acquisition of Bořislavka Centrum fits exactly into the strategy of the CS real estate fund to buy the best buildings on the market leased to reputable companies,” said Tomáš Jandík, Chairman of the Board of Directors of REICO, which manages the real estate fund.
According to Petr Pujman, CEO of KKCG REG, the sale fulfilled the group’s business plan. “The valuation we have achieved is one of the highest in the domestic real estate market.”
SKANSKA’S OFFICE BUILDING IN TRI-CITY GETS CERTIFIED
Skanska’s Wave office building in Tri-City has received WELL Core & Shell certificate. According to the developer, this is the first such certificate on the Tri-City market and the first at the Gold level outside Warsaw. The WELL Core & Shell certificate confirms that the investor has prioritized solutions and amenities focusing on people, their health and needs.
Konrad Ziejewski, project manager at Skanska’s commercial development business unit in CEE, said “Certifying office spaces certainly increases their attractiveness and encourages people to return to the office. According to a study conducted in 2021 on behalf of Skanska, most Polish employees consider offices safe, especially if they hold relevant certificates”.
“We treat well-being and safety issues as a priority,” says Adam Targowski, Environmental Director at Skanska’s commercial development business unit in CEE.

MARYNARSKA POINT 1 TO BE REVAMPED
Marynarska Point 1, an office building situated in Warsaw’s Mokotów district, is to be fully refurbished. The property was acquired in 2021 by an investment fund managed by Adventum Group. Real estate advisory firm Savills is the property manager and sole leasing agent for office space in the building.
“The planned changes will create a more comfortable work environment for both current and future tenants in Marynarska Point 1. The upgrade will give the building a new quality and an even more modern look,” says Agnieszka Węgrzyńska, Associate, Landlord Representation, Office Agency, Savills.
EWA ZAWADZKA JOINS MDC2 AS DIRECTOR, HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT
MDC2 – a developer of sustainable warehouse and industrial space operating on the Polish market – announced a new key hire in their Development Team. Ewa Zawadzka was appointed a Director, Head of Development. Ewa Zawadzka brings over 15 years of commercial real estate experience. Before joining MDC2 she was a Development Director in Panattoni responsible for new land and development opportunities in Southern Poland. Ewa also led the Land and Development team at Prologis where she was responsible for development management activities for Poland.
ŻABKA OPENS ITS 8,000th STORE IN POLAND
The 8000th store of the Żabka chain was opened on February 10th. The facility is located in the town Sieraków. It is the first Żabka store in this town, run by a local franchisee.
“Żabka constantly strives to be as close to customers as possible and to develop local entrepreneurship. In 2021 we opened 1,000 stores. Today, our network operates 8,000 stores, which provide over 30,000 jobs. We are also expanding in towns with a population under 50,000 residents,” said Adam Manikowski, Managing Director of Żabka chain.
