The new retail park, with a total area of over 4,900 sqm, in Gliwice, is already mostly leased. The shopping centre is situated directly on Gliwice’s main thoroughfares, Andersa and Okulickiego streets, and is surrounded by residential developments, including the expanding Ogrody Andersa estate by Atal.
Brands from various segments have joined the tenant mix of the retail park, including Sinsay, Żabka, Rossmann and Fabryka Formy. The lease agreements signed so far cover the vast majority of the retail space that the two-storey development will bring to the Gliwice market. Kaufland has been confirmed as the grocery anchor of Anders Retail Park. A shared parking lot with 278 spaces will be available to customers of the centre. The local retail offering is further enhanced by nearby Lidl and Biedronka stores. In addition to shops, a fitness club operated by a nationwide chain will also open in the complex.
“Every commercialisation process has its specifics. The Gliwice market is particularly demanding, with a large number of malls and retail parks, and new centres are constantly being developed. For example, the renovation of Tesco is currently underway. The average saturation of commercial spaces in the city is higher than in the Province of Silesia and across Poland. This makes internal competition in Gliwice, a city with over 170,000 residents, strong. The offer entering the market must be attractive to locals, meet their daily needs, and complement the retail offer in the area. Nevertheless, as the commercialisation process shows, there is still high demand for space among tenants,” says Piotr Szymoński, Director at Walter Herz, exclusive agent responsible for the commercialisation of the Gliwice retail park.
The development and design scope of the project is being handled by SPEC BAU POLSKA, which also serves as the general contractor. Construction work is progressing according to schedule, and the opening of the retail park is scheduled for the first half of 2026. Nearly 200,000 potential customers live within a 15-minute drive of the site. The property is being commercialised by the Walter Herz company.
