A ceremony marking the symbolic start of construction of the Quantum Gliwice logistics park was held in Gliwice. The highlight of the event was the erection of the first column of the hall’s structure. The project comprises 43,000 sqm of modern warehouse space and, once expanded, will exceed 60,000 sqm. Handover of the facility is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
Quantum Gliwice is Quantum Real’s first project, a developer of modern logistics and industrial facilities. The park is being built directly adjacent to the A4 motorway, about 3 km from the Sośnica interchange, where the A1 and A4 motorways cross. The location provides access to the Silesian metropolitan area and the southern Polish market, and also supports transport connections to the Czech Republic, Germany and Slovakia.
Marek Witkowski, Member of the Management Board of Quantum Real, said during the ceremony, “The Silesian Voivodeship is currently the second-largest warehouse market in Poland and, at the same time, the one where tenants lease the most space in the country. In the first half of the year, they contracted over 600,000 sqm here. We see this as confirmation of the region’s potential and a good reason to develop our business right here. We want the park to serve well both the companies that will start operating here and the surroundings in which it is being built. For Gliwice and the region, the project means around 200 new jobs, tax revenue for the city budget and orders for local companies as early as the construction stage.”
The first tenant of the park is North Coast, a distributor of food products from Italy and the Mediterranean region.
Marek Witkowski added: “For North Coast, we are building advanced cold storage and freezer facilities with separate temperature zones. Alongside this section, we are preparing space for both logistics and production. We design with our tenants’ operating costs in mind, which is why we treat energy-saving solutions as part of the building’s structure rather than an add-on.”
The facility has a building permit and secured financing, and the general contractor is Adamietz Construction. The project is being delivered jointly with LCube, a developer of warehouse and manufacturing space.
