Cromwell Property Group, a global real estate investment manager, and its Polish Retail Fund have won the BREEAM and GRESB Award for Corporate Investment in Responsible Real Estate. Presented to the real estate investment company or manager that has made the strongest commitment to the use of building certifications, this award is judged on the proportion of total existing portfolio formally assessed and certified, as well as the general level of commitment to achieving higher levels of certification through corporate policies.
Cromwell’s Head of Sustainability, Phil Cowling, commented: “By following the GRESB environmental approach and BREEAM commitment to sustainable development, Cromwell is setting new market standards and is establishing itself as a leader in sustainability across Central Europe. This award highlights our commitment to sustainability and is based on the performance of Cromwell’s Polish Retail Fund, which includes a large number of assets that have been certified by BREEAM. The newly renovated Rondo Shopping Centre in Bydgoszcz Poland is the latest asset to be awarded a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating.”
