CTP has broken ground at its inner-city business park in Brno, Ponavka, for a new office campus for tech giant IBM. The new campus will create more than 330 skilled jobs in Phase I, with hand-over expected during Q2 2016.
Ponavka’s central location central location, BREEAM Excellent rating and the relaxed park environment are a major draw for companies like IBM to the development.
Recent park improvements include upgrades to both indoor and outdoor facilities, and with sufficient trees and the refurbished Ponavka stream running through the middle, the quality of the workplace will be unique in Brno—where the modern architecture, pleasant landscaping and refurbished historical buildings create an eclectic mix: Destination Ponāvka.
Jaroslav Kaizr, CTP Business Director, commented: “Ponavka is unique within the CTPark Network. It is a business park with dynamic mix of business and city life, in downtown Brno. We believe it is this cultural ‘fit’ which is attracting big companies, like IBM, who see a real advantage of locating their business within Ponavka and generally Brno.”
Ponāvka is a dynamic urban renewal development project comprising a mix of modern hi-tech offices with stylishly renovated historic buildings and our own CT Box units. Rich in history, we transformed the site with on-site amenities, and a naturally landscaped campus environment, making this former 19th-century starch factory a 21st-century premium business destination.
Since May, we agreed over 3,700 sqm of extensions with existing clients ABB and Madfinger Games in Ponavka, and welcomed new clients such as Aria Pura and diagnostic healthcare provider AeskuLab who recently took over their 1,700 sqm office and laboratory space in the Offices. CTP´s portfolio of A-class industrial properties has lettable area of approximately 3 million sqm and CTP’s commitment is to grow to 5 million sqm by 2020.
