CTP has leased approximately 20,000 sqm of industrial and warehouse space at CTPark Belgrade City to Mercata VT, the leading tobacco and FMCG distributor in Serbia.
Previously occupying 14,000 sqm at CTPark Belgrade North, Mercata VT has signed a new 10-year lease to relocate and expand the amount of space it occupies by moving to CTPark Belgrade City. It will move into 17,730 sqm of warehouse space and around 1,600 sqm of office space at the CTPark. The new facility will house a brand new 20,000 sqm distribution centre for Mercata VT, bringing it closer to its customer base and improving the efficiency of its network.
Situated in New Belgrade, the largest municipality in the Serbian capital, CTPark Belgrade City is perfectly located for last-mile and city logistics, being less than 10km away from the city centre and only 10km from Belgrade Airport. With unit sizes starting from 2,500 sqm, the modern park is also ideal for small and medium-sized enterprises operating across a wide range of sectors including FMCG, pharmaceutical, high-tech and e-commerce. All space at CTPark Belgrade City is modern, energy-efficient and BREEAM certified, aiming to achieve a minimum rating of BREEAM Very Good, while offices, exhibition space and onsite amenities are also available for tenants.
Petar Kolognat, Director of Business Development at CTP Serbia, said: “At CTP we pride ourselves on not only how we retain our clients, but also how we work with them to expand at CTParks as their businesses grow. Mercata VT’s new signing is a testament to this, as they move to new expanded premises at CTPark Belgrade City. This logistics hub provides occupiers with a unique city-centre location and excellent highway and airport access, in a newly developed setting that meets the highest ESG standards, providing the perfect location for the new Mercata VT distribution centre.”
Željko Salatić, Logistics director at Mercata VT said: “We are happy to have secured space at CTPark Belgrade City, given its unique location close to the centre of Belgrade, which will allow us to be closer to our clients, manage our business more efficiently and reduce our carbon footprint. Our close relationship with CTP and their understanding of our business gives us the confidence to expand within their portfolio, and we look forward to working with CTP for years to come.”
Since it started operating in Serbia, CTP has launched multiple projects and currently has 13 buildings across its portfolio with a total area of over 285,000 sqm, as well as 250,000 sqm under construction.
