The Polish Association of Ecological Building PLGBC is organizing the 9th edition of the PLGBC Green Building Symposium. The program includes four thematic sessions, lectures, game changing presentations, case studies, and panel debates. The largest and most influential event of the green construction industry in Poland will take place on October 3, 2019 at The Tides in Warsaw.
Driving positive change – this is the motto of the 9th edition of the PLGBC Green Building Symposium. In an era of climate change, the challenge is to ensure a sustainable future. Action is needed immediately. Green construction is a very important element of this change.
The symposium is an event permanently inscribed in the PLGBC calendar of activities, with the participation of nearly 400 guests from Poland and abroad. Cross-cutting themes, engaging meetings, inspiring experts and the latest knowledge on the ecological construction market are the features of the event.
The 9th PLGBC Green Building Symposium will include Keynote Speakers:
prof. Ewa Kuryłowicz from the Kuryłowicz & Associaties studio,
Ewelina Jaskulska from the Artectonica studio, appreciated, among others by The European Center Architecture Art Design,
Cédric Anbergen, representing BSolutions, representing the Belgian CAP Construction cluster.
The first session of Better Places for People will present the impact of sustainable buildings on the health, comfort and productivity of people working in them. An interesting point of the program will be the battle for innovation, i.e. prop-tech solutions shaping sustainable buildings. During the Driving positive change session we will know the effect of joining forces for cooperation and a better future and life. We will experience how green construction is approaching. Buildings are like people a topic of a session about the need for buildings that offer a high quality of life, while respecting the natural environment and being economically effective. Space is important, therefore the issue of housing certification and the need for education in the field of behavior in green buildings will be discussed. The next session, Design the Future: Circular Buildings, will be devoted to the transformation towards the circular economy and the new role of buildings.
The event will be accompanied by the Gala of the PLGBC Green Building Awards 2019 competition, which aims to award the best green buildings, interiors, products and environmental initiatives in Poland. This year’s jury included unique and outstanding personalities, such as: prof. Ewa Kuryłowicz, Robert Konieczny and Wojciech Małecki.
PLGBC Green Building Symposium is an event during which you can meet the most inspiring enthusiasts of the construction, architecture and real estate industries. The event is an effective platform for cooperation, exchange of innovative ideas and practical solutions in a dynamic environment. Exhibitors’ Zone, Conference Zone, Networking Zone and accompanying attractions have been prepared.
The organizer is the Polish Association of Ecological Building PLGBC, which has been supporting the construction sector in Poland for over 11 years by developing the process of designing, building and using buildings based on elements of sustainable development.
