Echo Investment presented details of their latest retail development Galeria Echo shopping centre in Katowice.
“The southern part of Katowice is one of the few places in Poland today, with such excellent conditions for realizing a commercial project: a very low rate of retail space (224 sqm / 1,000 inhabitants, while the national average for large cities is around 1,000 sqm.). The second element is a high purchasing power – 121 percent of the national average,” said Marcin Materny, Head of Shopping Centers at Echo Investment.
“Today, shopping is not enough. Today’s consumers want more than just the possibility of making purchases. They want better fitted out space and time better developed land. And it is increasingly important, not what they can buy, but in what style. That is why in our project focused on three main features: a diverse offer, comfort and friendliness. The result is an accentuation of entertainment, leisure and dining options. Another priority is to ease travel and parking, as well as the convenience of staying and shopping. Our vision is center-friendly, customer-friendly, friendly tenants and environmentally friendly,”Marcin Materny added.
Galeria Echo Katowice is being built on a plot of 54,000 sqm. The centre will offer 42,000 sqm of shopping and entertainment area, over three levels. In addition to the shops, supermarket, 7-screen cinema, billiard club, children’s play area, squash and badminton courts, restaurants with terraces, as well as a medical centre, the entire complex will be accompanied by a spacious plaza with places to rest, a skate park and an ice rink in winter.
