Ehlebracht Slowakei to Move to ctPark, Košice

Ehlebracht, an international company with a production site in Michalovce, is moving to Košice. Their current hall capacity, used for components for automotive and kitchen appliances, is not sufficient. The production enlargement will bring 60 to 80 new jobs.

The industrial park nearby the Košice Airport was bought by CTP from the Austrian Erste Bank last autumn in order to strengthen the portfolio in the region. ctPark Košice is made of five industrial buildings with a leasable area of 57,000 sqm. The project has more space available for the production of new buildings with a total area of 21,000 sqm.

Ehlebracht showed interest in the newly constructed hall. Covering 8,916 sqm, the construction should start already this November. Tenants will be able to move into the new production halls at the end of 2021.

“As we strive to enlarge our portfolio by plastic moulding, related technology and by a tool room, we decided to move our production to the industrial park near Košice. The current area is limited and not really sufficient in terms of our mid-term plans and development”, said Stefan Hanke, an Ehlebracht Acting Manager.

Production enlargement will mean more employees. The company already said they were planning to employ 230 to 250 workers, which is 60-80 more staff than currently. Ehlebracht provides comprehensive process-related solutions for technical and optical plastic parts, components and system solutions. The usual clients are OEMs and clients from the automotive and electrical industries.

“The industrial park in Košice is located at a strategic place and seems to be a good choice for manufacturers of parts and other components. Last but not least, Košice has some quality universities that attract modern R&D centres, many of which are housed in ctPark Košice. I believe it is these aspects, along with good road and infrastructure connection, that were the decisive points for our client to relocate their production facility. We are glad to see that our clients are having production increase in current time, which also means demand for state-of-the-art industry halls that meet the new energy standards,” said Stanislav Pagáč, a Regional CTP Director for Slovakia.
