Footfall on the up at Galeria Katowicka in Poland – EuropaProperty

In August, Galeria Katowicka witnessed growth of 14 percent against the same month a year ago. The Silesian shopping centre has now seen footfall increases for many months.

“Behind our double-digit rise is a confluence of many factors. With over 20 new tenants, Galeria Katowicka now offers more shopping opportunities and the right tenant mix. The venue runs intense marketing activities. In the past months, we have hosted dozens of commercial, cultural and entertainment events,” said Dawid Prymas, the Marketing and PR Director for Galeria Katowicka.
The number of customers visiting Galeria Katowicka has risen since 2014, from 700,000 per month in 2014 to 1.2 – 1.3 million customers today, nearly a double increase.

“In 2016, we have seen our footfall stabilize, and, just as importantly, our sales continue to rise. Integrated with the major railway station, Galeria Katowicka is emerging as a shopping destination in itself for those living in Katowice and the region rather than being a transport hub,” concluded Dawid Prymas.
