Fortech has announced the opening of its second office in Iasi, the fastest-growing city in the north-eastern part of Romania, aiming to open 100 job opportunities for IT Specialists in the next two years. The action is part of the team consolidation strategy started back in the spring with the opening of a new delivery centre in the north-east Romania and the first office in Iasi and brings the company on track to reach 600 people by the end of the year.
The new office occupies a rented surface of 250 sqm, in a modern business centre, Moldova Center, a certified building (BREEAM “Very Good”), equipped with A class facilities. At the time being, the office accommodates half of the team in Iasi, while the other half are based at our office in Palas Business Complex.
The local technical team counts 35 specialists and will bring a significant contribution to strengthening Fortech’s presence in the region. The expertise of the team covers all major programming languages (JAVA, .NET, C++, Mobile) and QA and aims at further growing with experienced software engineers and project managers, in the near future.
“We are proud of the team built here in Iasi in the recent months and we are eager to continue to develop quality software here,” said Ioana Sfârlea, Operations Manager Iasi Delivery Centre. “We are at the beginning, but this translates into relevant professional opportunities for experienced engineers, enabling them to shape the local team and the business evolution. Also, being part of a large company brings the proposition of stability, professional maturity, refined processes and a certain flexibility in projects allocation, all while keeping a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that we want to preserve as we evolve.”
The consolidation strengthens Fortech’s ability to meet increasing demand from its customers through a model of dedicated teams, that can cover end-to-end development services. Working exclusively with Western clients, the company portfolio includes major names spanning diverse verticals but with a notable focus on automotive, healthcare, IoT and eCommerce.
“The local market in Iasi is going through a moment of change and growth and we tap into the energy that comes from that,” commented Călin Văduva, Fortech CEO. “The expansion came along with the necessity to provide a business model that works at a local level. This is also an opportunity to pilot a new model of collaboration in distributed teams which proves to be successful and is easily replicable in our relationships with customers. Our team in Iasi is highly talented, displaying a stack of competencies that fully aligns with the specific of our business and thus enable us to expand our offer to various customer segments.”
