Futureal Group’s business unit, which focuses on electricity trading and the full-scale implementation of energy investments, is now embarking on its international expansion. Operating under the newly introduced Futureal Energy Partners brand, the company is entering international markets under the leadership of Daniel Szentirmai, who was recently appointed as CEO. Strategic oversight of the Hungarian operations will remain under the direction of Márk Balástyai, CEO of the domestic branch.
Futureal Energy Partners aims to support developers contributing to the green transition through renewable energy investments and to promote Europe’s progress toward carbon neutrality. The international operation was co-founded by Gábor Futó, founder and shareholder of Futureal Group, and Daniel Szentirmai, who joined the company as CEO and Partner in June. Daniel’s key responsibilities include coordinating Futureal Energy Partners’ international expansion and managing its strategic partnerships.
Over the past five years, Daniel served as co-founder and senior principal at Renewable Power Capital, where he helped build a renewable energy portfolio spanning six countries. Previously, as a director at GE Energy Financial Services, he led the acquisition and sale of international energy projects worth several billion euros. Throughout his career, he has been involved in various energy investments and lived in the United Kingdom, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates.
“Futureal Energy Partners is a purpose-driven investor focused on the energy transition. We seek strategic partnerships with renewable energy developers across Europe, encompassing onshore wind and solar projects, and advanced energy storage solutions. Building on Futureal Group’s expertise in real estate development and investment, we aim to back projects and developers that make a tangible contribution to Europe becoming a net-zero continent,” said Daniel Szentirmai, Co-Founder and CEO of Futureal Energy Partners.
“Under Márk Balástyai’s leadership, our energy division has significantly strengthened its presence in recent years. With Daniel Szentirmai now at the helm of our international energy platform, Futureal Energy Partners is set to enter the international energy market, enabling an even more diversified and resilient investment portfolio for Futureal Group. Supporting the energy transition is not only profitable but also a societal imperative, and we are committed to playing a key role in this effort, both in Hungary and internationally,” added Gábor Futó, Co-Founder and Shareholder of Futureal Group.
