Galeria Pomorska in Bydgoszcz has expanded its dining options with the addition of Yaki Maki. Specializing in Asian cuisine, the restaurant opened its doors to customers just before the holidays. Yaki Maki is a local brand created by the owners of the renowned Bydgoszcz-based Japanese cuisine restaurant, Sushi Garden.
The new restaurant at Galeria Pomorska occupies 42 sqm and offers customers a wide selection of dishes inspired by both traditional and modern trends in oriental cuisine. The Yaki Maki menu includes bao burgers, poke bowls, gyoza dumplings, spring rolls, classic and special sushi rolls, as well as a variety of sushi sets.
The brand draws inspiration from world-class sushi restaurants, creating its dishes using fresh ingredients prepared on-site. The restaurant targets individuals seeking an alternative, street-food approach to Far Eastern cuisine, leveraging over a decade of experience in oriental gastronomy within the local market.
“Galeria Pomorska is one of the most popular destinations for shopping and leisure among Bydgoszcz residents. In addition to creating an attractive retail tenant mix, we need to enhance our gastronomic offerings. The introduction of a new tenant offering popular Japanese dishes is part of our investment in the centre’s development, aligning with the expectations of modern consumers. The new restaurant is a response to the growing interest in street food-style Asian cuisine. With its focus on quality and years of experience, we are confident that this establishment will become a significant spot on both the shopping centre’s and the city’s culinary map,” says Agata Stańkowska, Head of Leasing at Sierra Balmain.
Yaki Maki complements the diverse dining options at Galeria Pomorska, which already includes McDonald’s, KFC, North Fish, Subway, Olimp, Arianos Kebab, the pancake house Nasz Naleśnik, and cafes like Cukiernia Sowa, Grycan, and Tchibo.
