Developer GARBE has received a building permit for the second phase of its GARBE Park Brno South project in Pohořelice, located approximately 30 kilometres south of Brno. This phase will add two modern buildings of 60,000 sqm and 20,000 sqm, bringing the park’s total area to 111,000 sqm. Together, the first and second phases comprise four buildings designed with a strong focus on sustainability, high technical requirements, and low operating costs. The properties will be available to the prospective tenants within eight months of construction start.
“Our goal in Pohořelice is to build a modern, technologically advanced park that enables tenants to optimise their processes and support their business growth, whether they are logistics providers or manufacturing companies,” says Martin Stratov, Country Head Czech Republic & Slovakia at GARBE.
“In the second phase, we will offer halls with a clear height of up to 18 meters, which is above the standard in the Czech Republic. This allows us to meet the specific requirements of companies. These spaces are ideal for firms focused on automation, multi-level mezzanines within the hall, or automated high-bay warehouses,” adds Martin Stratov.
A key advantage of the park is its strategic location on the R52 expressway, just 25 km south of Brno toward Vienna. The site provides excellent transport accessibility and access to a skilled workforce, making GARBE Park Brno South an ideal choice for companies seeking a modern and well-connected base in the region.
The project also plans a retail zone, designed not only for park employees but also for residents of surrounding municipalities. This concept has already proven successful at GARBE Park České Budějovice, where it is operated by a well-known grocery retailer. “We plan to implement the same model in Pohořelice. Based on our positive experience in Boršov nad Vltavou, we know it is an attractive addition that benefits the entire region,” says Martin Stratov.
In just five years of operating in the Czech Republic, GARBE has developed several industrial parks in České Budějovice, Chomutov, and Klášterec nad Ohří. All parks are characterised by their emphasis on ESG standards, sustainability, and advanced technical infrastructure, which is reflected in the long-term interest of tenants and investors.
