Geis Group opens new 5,600 sqm logistics centre in Řehlovice, Czech Republic – EuropaProperty

Thanks to the recently completed section of the D8 motorway between Bílinka and Řehlovice, Geis will benefit from an excellent transport connection between Prague and Ústínad Labem / Dresden.

Leading logistic company Geis has leased 5,600 sqm of brand new logistic premises in Industrial Zone Řehlovice. Geis was represented by JLL during the transaction. The premises were developed by Czech real estate company Real Spektrum in a built-to-suit project. During this February and March, fit-out of the premises was carried out according to the specifications of Geis, and the new logistics hub started operation at the beginning of April.

“In recent years, our operation in North-West Bohemia has been growing and we felt the need for more space,” explained Miroslav Silovský, Procurer, Geis. The Řehlovice Industrial Zone was appealing due to its strategic location and the flexibility of the developer and their capability of preparing a built-to-suit project for us. The negotiations took in total about 18 months and were finished in March 2017.”

“With 255,000 sqm of Class-A industrial premises, the Ústínad Labem Region is the sixth biggest submarket in the Czech Republic. With the completion of the D8 motorway in the vicinity of Řehlovice and the availability of a skilled workforce in the region, we expect further development of the location. Even now, we are observing an increase in demand from logistics and production companies,” added Anna Kubějová, Senior Consultant, Industrial Agency JLL, who was responsible for the whole process of property search and the negotiations.
