Golub GetHouse has finalized the purchase of investment plot located at the junction of Żelazna and Grzybowska streets in Warsaw’s Wola district. On the site with an total area of 5,371 sqm will rise a 140-meter-tall Liberty Tower skyscraper, which will offer apartments for rent and a hotel.
“Finalizing the purchase of a prestigious plot at the intersection of Żelazna and Grzybowska streets is a very important element of our company’s development strategy, which involves investing in the multifamily rental housing. At this time, our investment portfolio has been enlarged by a perfectly located plot in Warsaw’s Wola district, where a modern residential skyscraper will be built. This is going to be our first investment of this type in Poland, but we have an extensive experience in this sector gained in the USA – our group has been constructing multifamily rental buildings for over 55 years, and only in the last year has built several such tower buildings in Chicago and in San Francisco. We are convinced that Liberty Tower will fit perfectly into the landscape of the dynamically changing business center of Warsaw, and thanks to its location and functionality, will offer a completely new quality to the market,” commented Czarek Jarząbek, Founder and CEO, Golub GetHouse.
Liberty Tower will be erected on a plot with historic fragments of the walls and the gate of the Warsaw Ghetto along with the Duschik’s house, remaining from the factory of iron products “Duschik & Scholze” operating in this place, established in 1875-1876. All historical elements will be restored and integrated into the new project. An architectural firm responsible for the investment’s design concept will be selected during an international competition that is currently underway.
The building will be erected in the rapidly growing center of Warsaw, where there are now around 700,000 sqm of offices under construction, including the Mennica Legacy Tower office complex. The project developed by Golub GetHouse together with Mennica Polska S.A. in close proximity to the newly purchased land (about 250 meters) will consist of a 140-meter tall tower with a neighbouring 43-meter tall Western building, which will offer a total of 65,630 sqm of modern office space.
Golub GetHouse is planning more investments in the multifamily apartments for rent and private dormitories sector in the nearest future. The projects, realized from the means of the new real estate fund, Golub GetHouse Property Fund II FIZ, will be built not only in Warsaw, but also in Cracow and other major regional cities in Poland.
