CTP has signed a lease agreement with HEIMSTADEN, the largest provider of rental housing in the Czech Republic, for almost 3,500 sqm of office space at IQ Ostrava. IQ Ostrava is a pioneer in sustainable construction in the region, is equipped with energy-saving technologies and was the first office building in Ostrava to be BREEAM Excellent certified 10 years ago, enabling HEIMSTADEN to take a further step towards reducing the environmental impact of its business.
Located in the heart of Ostrava, the IQ Ostrava building provides over 22,000 sqm of sophisticated working environment, with a strong focus on ecology – from energy-efficient heating, well watering, energy-saving LED lighting to green roof terraces on the first, ninth and twelfth floors that improve the microclimate, promote biodiversity and bring nature into the urban environment. With the availability of a bike path and bike share, as well as its proximity to major public transportation hubs, the building supports sustainable modes of transportation for workers. The building also offers a range of amenities including a fitness centre, a canteen and a Clubco co-working centre from developer CTP, bringing both professional and community life to life.
“Renting at IQ Ostrava will allow us to reduce operating costs and at the same time be closer to our commuting employees and clients. All-important transport hubs such as the central bus station, railway station and the main trolleybus loop are located close to the new headquarters. In addition to the offices, the Client Centre will also move to 28 October Street, one of the most accessible locations in Ostrava,” says Jan Rafaj, General Manager of the Czech branch of HEIMSTADEN.
HEIMSTADEN is a traditional proponent of a green policy, digitising many processes and simplifying tenancy relationships. Hand in hand, it continues its mission to reduce its carbon footprint. Every year, it reduces the energy consumption of its buildings through intensive insulation. This year alone, it plans to invest CZK 665 million in insulation projects and reduce CO2 production by up to 3,000 tonnes.
The collaboration between HEIMSTADEN and CTP not only represents a significant milestone in the development of both companies but also promises to have a positive impact on prosperity and sustainability in the Moravian-Silesian region, opening up new avenues for community engagement and environmental initiatives.
“We are very pleased that HEIMSTADEN has chosen our IQ Ostrava project as its new base in the Moravian-Silesian region. We look forward to working together and believe that our joint approach to development and sustainability will positively influence the environment in this region,” said Jakub Kodr, Managing Director and Sales Director of CTP in the Czech Republic.
