Accor Strengthens its Regional Development Team
Accor, a world-leading hospitality group, appoints Maria Drăgulin as Director of Hotel Development in Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and the Czech Republic. Maria will reinforce the hotel pipeline in the area and will support Accor’s partners in identifying and setting in place the right brands and concepts for their hotels, in line with the global hospitality trends, as well as local characteristics of demand.
Maria has more than 22 years of experience in tourism, working for international hotels such as Novotel, InterContinental, Hilton or Vienna International. For more than 11 years, Maria held the General Manager position in several international hotels in Bucharest. She has been part of the opening team of Novotel Bucharest City Centre and the Accor team is excited to have her back in her new role and further develop the group’s presence in the region. Maria is a Management and Tourism graduate and benefits from numerous internationally recognised specializations and certifications in the hospitality field.

Accor has a robust pipeline in Romania for the upcoming years, with 10 new hotels already announced, which will bring more than 1,000 new rooms to the market. The mid-term development plan puts new and surprising hotel brands on the map of Romania, such as Swissôtel, Novotel Living, Tribe and Adagio. It also reinforces the group’s presence in key cities like Bucharest, Brașov and Sibiu.
