Agata Sekuła joins the Executive Management Team of EPP
EPP announced to it shareholders the appointment of Agata Sekula to the Executive Management Team of EPP as Chief Divestment and Investment Officer. Agata will join EPP with effect from 1 March 2021 and will be responsible for executing EPP’s divestment and investment plans, with particular focus on acquiring institutional co-investors for EPP’s retail portfolio.
Agata has over 20 years of investment advisory experience in the retail sector and is one of the most renowned experts in retail real estate in the CEE region. She spent 22 years at real estate advisory giant JLL, where she currently holds the position of Vice President of the Management Board and Head of the Capital Markets team in Poland. During those years, Agata has earned a reputation as a market go-to expert for retail investment matters and has gained a track record of successful sales and acquisitions of retail properties in Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, and Hungary, with a total value of completed transactions of over €13.5 billion.
She specialises in transactions involving the sales and acquisitions of shopping centres, both single properties and large retail real estate portfolios. Agata was responsible, among others, for the preparation of sales processes, sales marketing of the projects, due diligence analyses, transaction structuring, commercial negotiations and supervision over the fulfilment of transaction terms agreed by the parties.
Tomasz Trzoslo, CEO of EPP, says: “I am delighted to welcome Agata to EPP, especially as I am very familiar with her unique, best-in-class competence in the retail investment market, her knowledge and reputation within the retail investor community in Europe, and her great effectiveness in concluding the most complex projects. I am sure that the strategic mission of sourcing co-investors for the EPP retail portfolio in the coming years is in the best hands, and that this is the best possible appointment for EPP to maximise the successful delivery of our asset recycling strategy. Agata is well acquainted with most of the investors operating in the Central European retail markets, as well as with the EPP shopping centres, having participated in transactions over the years involving almost all the retail assets currently in our portfolio. I believe that Agata will not only help us to find the best business partners for our company, but she will also professionally manage the long-term relationships within the joint ventures we are planning, which will contribute to the further stable development of EPP going forward.”
