CBRE has announced the appointment of Verka Petkova-Shekerova as Country Head for the Bulgarian market within its Southeast Europe (SEE) office. Verka Petkova-Shekerova succeeds Sladjana Popović, who will continue to lead the SEE region’s ESG & Sustainability services department.
“This year we mark five years since the opening of our Sofia office, the second office opened since the establishment of the fully owned corporate office for the SEE region in 2018. We have a team of exceptional professionals in Sofia, who have delivered numerous results across all sectors. I’m particularly proud that another exceptional professional has recognised CBRE’s office for the SEE region. With her deep understanding of the real estate market, proven track record and exceptional leadership skills, as well as the experience and resources of the global CBRE network, I’m confident that together with Verka we will realise new opportunities and energetically drive our expansion in Bulgaria. Her appointment reaffirms our commitment to excellence and providing premier real estate services and solutions to our clients in the region. Under Verka’s leadership, CBRE is poised to continue its growth and deliver unparalleled value to its clients in Bulgaria,” said Boško Tomašević, Managing Director for the SEE region at CBRE.
“I’d also like to thank Sladjana Popović for building a highly successful business and team in the Bulgarian market in a relatively short period, and I’m sure she will do the same with the newly established ESG & Sustainability Services department she took over earlier this year,” added Tomašević.
Verka Petkova-Shekerova, newly appointed Country Head Bulgaria at CBRE South Eastern Europe, emphasised: “As I embark on this exciting journey with CBRE, I am thrilled to join a renowned global real estate industry leader. This move represents an incredible opportunity to leverage my expertise and work with CBRE’s exceptional team in Sofia and the SEE region. Together, we will unlock new opportunities, capitalise on emerging trends and deliver unparalleled value to our clients in Bulgaria. I am confident that with CBRE’s vast resources and unwavering commitment to excellence, we will redefine the landscape of the Bulgarian real estate market and achieve remarkable success.”
