Changes in the management structures of the BPCC
The British Polish Chamber of Commerce has announced changes in its management structures.
Paweł Siwecki has ended his work as CEO of the Chamber. Paweł was associated with the Chamber for over 13 years. During this time, he was tasked to deliver fundamental changes that have had a lasting impact on the Chamber’s current shape and operating model. He has successively improved the Chamber’s positioning and the quality of membership services, keeping the BPCC in the circle of the most influential and recognised non-governmental institutions in Poland. He guided the Chamber through the challenging time of the COVID-19 pandemic, loyally supporting the Chamber’s executive team. Paweł’s role in the post-pandemic rebound has been crucial, together with the implementation of the Chamber’s new strategy introduced in 2023, which he leaves now to his successor.
As of 1 July, the position of managing director of the British Polish Chamber of Commerce is taken over by Marcin Cichy.
Marcin combines nearly 20 years of experience in the areas of public policy and regulatory affairs, with team management. In the past, he worked in public administration in Poland, as well as in international organisations (including the United Nations and the European Union). He spent the last four years in TMT consulting, providing market access services to global telecommunications companies. Marcin combines his professional activity with academic work at the Lodz University of Technology, where he defended his doctorate in 2022. As managing director, Marcin Cichy will be responsible for the implementation of the BPCC mission of creating favourable conditions for two-way trade and investments between Poland and the UK as well as becoming one of the most influential and efficient organisations in Poland.
“I am very pleased to join the BPCC team to further develop the organisation and serve its members’ interests. I intend to use my experience and skills to effectively support the organisation’s goals,” said Marcin Cichy, the new managing director.
