CTP APPOINTS NEW MANAGING DIRECTORS FOR POLAND AND BULGARIA
CTP announced the appointment of two new Managing Directors for the business. Effective from 1st March 2024, Piotr Flugel has been appointed as the Managing Director for Poland and Daniela Boytcheva has been appointed as the Managing Director for Bulgaria.
Piotr has been instrumental in spearheading numerous initiatives since he joined CTP Poland at the beginning of March 2022 as Country Construction Director & COO, including the creation of a dynamic team with the capabilities to deliver a significant amount of industrial and logistics space every year. With a strategy focused on innovative park initiatives that reflect CTP’s pioneering approach, Piotr’s vision for the future is aimed at attracting like-minded clients to CTP’s network of business parks in Poland which provide flexible, state-of-the-art buildings for a wide variety of business uses.
As part of CTP’s portfolio development strategy for Poland, the company envisages a total investment of €300 million to purchase land and start new projects. Currently, CTP has 15 strategically located complexes in the country at various stages of development and a land bank of more than 2.9 million sqm, allowing for further growth of the property portfolio. In December 2023, CTP started construction on three new business parks in Poland totalling more than 215,000 sqm of leasable space, which also marks CTP’s entry into new regional markets in Poland. At the end of 2023, CTP owned and operated approximately 405,000 sqm of GLA in Poland, with almost 600,000 sqm currently under construction.
Piotr and the CTP Poland team were responsible for the largest transaction in the warehouse and logistics market in Poland (and across CTP’s entire portfolio) in 2023, which was the lease agreement for approximately 110,000 sqm at the CTPark Warsaw West complex to Raben Group, one of the largest logistics companies in the world.
Piotr’s expertise in the development of sustainable logistics parks also resulted in the ILL5 building at the CTPark Ilowa complex being awarded the ‘Excellent’ BREEAM International New Construction certificate in 2023, in recognition of, among other things, a water saving of more than 54 percent.
Coming from a long line of engineers and economists, Piotr Flugel has a strong background in civil engineering and brings a wealth of valuable experience to his role as Managing Director of CTP Poland.
Remon Vos, CEO of CTP said: “The appointments of Piotr and Daniela will help us to build on the great 2023 we had at CTP, which saw record rental income and leases signed for almost 2 million sqm. As Managing Directors, Piotr and Daniela will play an important role in providing the strong leadership needed for our growing team to reach the ambitious target of 20 million sqm of GLA by the end of the decade. Piotr’s appointment is a significant milestone for CTP Poland, and we are confident that his leadership, coupled with his passion for innovation and excellence, will drive our continued success in the region. We are very pleased to have Piotr on board and look forward to realising our shared ambitions for the region under his guidance.”
With almost two decades of experience in property consultancy specialising in the office and industrial & logistics sectors, Daniela Boytcheva joined CTP in 2022 as Business Development Director and has since made a significant contribution to the expansion of the business in Bulgaria through her irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit.
Inspired by CTP’s entrepreneurial vision, as well as the company’s dynamic and collaborative approach, Daniela has leveraged her expertise across CTP’s network of CEE locations, notably spearheading a sizeable leasing deal in Sofia, securing a 40,000 sqm lease at CTPark Sofia West with Lidl Online Digital. Effective from 1st March 2024, as Managing Director for the region Daniela is ambitious to expand the team and build on CTP’s legacy of innovatively designed and efficiently operated vibrant and diverse business parks. At the end of 2023, CTP owned and operated 209,000 sqm of GLA in Bulgaria, with a further 127,000 sqm under construction.
Remon Vos said: “Daniela’s drive and entrepreneurial spirit perfectly complements CTP’s ambitions for the region and with her track record of achievements, she is well placed to lead the team in further driving business growth and continuing the delivery of sustainable, future-proof business parks in Bulgaria. We are thrilled to welcome her to the team.”
