EBRD Names New Regional Head for Central Europe
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Miljan Zdrale as Regional Director for Central Europe covering Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, the Slovak Republic and Slovenia, and Head of Croatia where he will be located, effective 1st January 2025.
Zdrale will replace Mark Davis, who was recently appointed EBRD managing director for the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean (SEMED) region.
Mr. Zdrale, Regional Head of Agribusiness, South-Eastern Europe, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He joined the Bank in 2002 and has since worked on Municipal/Transport Infrastructure and Property and Tourism projects. In 2006 he moved to London to join the Agribusiness team. From Principal Banker in 2008 and Senior Banker in 2011, he became a Regional Head of Agribusiness in 2015 with a focus on Southeastern Europe.
In his current role, he has led the Agribusiness activities in 11 countries of CSEE and created highly recognisable business franchises in the region. He was responsible for business and policy delivery reflected in several projects including novel structures amounting to about €200-300 million in annual business investment per annum.
