
GTC Board Bolstered by Real Estate, Finance & Advisory Experts
The Supervisory Board of GTC S.A., a leading investor and developer in the commercial real estate market in Central and Eastern Europe, also active in the German market, has appointed new members to the Management Board. Jacek Bagiński is a C-suite executive and finance expert with 30 years of experience in large enterprises across the real estate, retail, manufacturing, and FMCG sectors. Mihály Ország and Botond Rencz have held key positions for many years in renowned international banks and advisory firms. At GTC, the three experts will lead finance, business sustainability and corporate finance.
The newly appointed executives will strengthen the expert management board of GTC S.A., which has been led by Małgorzata Czaplicka since the end of May this year. The team is focused on executing a strategy based on a sustainable real estate portfolio, operational and financial optimisation, strong relationships with stakeholders – including financial institutions and capital markets – and exploring new sectoral and geographical growth opportunities.
Jacek Bagiński has been associated with leading companies operating in Central and Eastern Europe for nearly 30 years. For the past eight years, he served as Management Board Member and CFO at EPP NV – the largest shopping centre owner in Poland, listed on Johannesburg and Luxembourg Stock Exchanges. Previously, he held the same roles at Empik Media & Fashion S.A., one of the largest holding companies in retail, e-commerce, and services. He also served on the management boards of other Warsaw Stock Exchange-listed companies, including Opoczno S.A. and Polfa Kutno S.A., and held senior positions in multinational corporations such as PepsiCo and BP/Amoco.
Throughout his career, he has managed business development, including mergers and acquisitions, as well as divestments, financing, and taxation, as well as financial planning, controlling, and reporting. He is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics.
Jacek Bagiński was appointed to the positions of a member of the Management Board of the Company and Chief Financial Officer, effective as of 8 September 2025. Balázs Gosztonyi will stay with the Company to ensure continuity of the Group’s operations and a smooth handover of responsibilities.
Botond Rencz spent nearly 30 years with Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen. As CEO of Hungary and regional leader, he oversaw EY’s operations in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and Hungary. Under his leadership, EY became a market leader in Hungary, particularly in tax advisory services. He also led EY’s tax practice in Central Europe and served as Chair of the AmCham Tax Committee. In 2024, he was CEO of Eu-Solar, a company active in the green energy sector. He is a graduate of the Budapest University of Economics.
Botond Rencz was appointed to the position of a member of the Management Board of the Company and Chief Business Sustainability Officer, effective as of 11 August 2025.
Mihály Ország joined the GTC Management Board after 28 years with K&H Bank Zrt., one of the largest commercial banks in Hungary, part of KBC Group, where he most recently held the position of Head of Specialised Financial Services & Financial Markets Directorate. His responsibilities included financing projects in commercial real estate, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors, financial market trading and sales, as well as cooperation with financial institutions and municipalities. He began his professional career at Arthur Andersen and ABN AMRO. He holds a degree from Corvinus University of Budapest and has completed executive programs at KBC University and the ABN AMRO Academy.
Mihály Ország was appointed to the position of a member of the Management Board of the Company and Chief Corporate Finance Officer, effective as of 2 September 2025.
With the appointment of the new Management Board members, GTC S.A.’s Supervisory Board has also announced the departure of Zsolt Farkas (with effect from the moment the resolution is adopted) and Balázs Gosztonyi (with effect from 8 September this year) from their current positions.
